This option is used to create a new landmark. The location of this landmark will depend upon one of three inputs. These inputs are either a picture, latitude longitude, or a maplet/bigmap. Once a landmark is created it will not have any images included, and will have no topography. To add topography you'll need to use the "b" option from the Main Menu. To load images you'll have to save the maplet, then load it again and choose the "y" option.

pixlinpic (p) - Type "p" to select the location of the center of the landmark from the location of a pixel/line value in a picture. Then enter in a picture name (12 character). Then LITHOS will ask you for a pixel/line location from the image. So "0, 0" would be the upper left of the image.
ltdlng (l) - Type "l" (i.e. lowercase "L") to select the location of the center of the landmark from latitude/longitude. Then specify latitude/longitude, where the longitude is west longitude.
map p/l (m) - Type "m" to select the location of the center of the landmark from the location of a maplet/bigmap. Type in the maplet/bigmap name (6 characters), then the pixel/line location. "0, 0" selects the upper left of the maplet/bigmap.
After picking "p", "l" or "m"
Enter scale (km/px), qsz - Enter in the GSD in km (so .001 is 1m) and then the Q size. Standard procedure is to use 49 for the Q size.
